Dr. Kumar is a clinical associate professor of Internal Medicine at Stanford University. Investigator for the ACTT and ACTIV trials for COVID-19, which brought the first COVID-19 therapeutics to patients in the United States. Currently, he is the Stanford Hospital lead for the National Institutes of Health RECOVER trial, a 1 billion dollar effort to understand the long-term effects of COVID-19 on patients.
